Changed - 19 teams will participate in Baltic Cup 2009
10 Men and 9 Ladies teams from six countries will participate this year Baltic Cup which is the record of this competition.
Rinks include Torino Olympic vice-champion Marrku Uusipavalniemi team (will play with 2000 European champions team), last year winners in Ladies competition, Team Regza from Latvia and men’s competition, Team Lill from Estonia. National teams of Poland, Lithuania, Estonia and Finland will be presented in competition. Teams from Russia are back from one year pause.
In section “Schedule” teams could find tournament schedule and practice information. Tournament will start Thursday with Team Meeting at 19:00 followed by Opening Ceremony and Practice for teams. Please feel free to contact organizers according your wishes for practice (info@curlinghalli.fi), every team is granted 6 minutes practice time for each sheet.
Tournament besides participating teams will be attended also by ECF officials – President Andrew Ferguson Smith, Vice President Olli Rissanen, Member at Large Konstantin Zadvornov and Eastern Europe Representative Pawel Kubik. Chief Umpire of Baltic Cup is appointed Olli Rissanen.
